Schools To Resume After 65% Vaccination

With the launch of the Corona vaccination campaign in the country last week, a question has become raised about when students will return to their schools.

Government sources revealed to Al-Qabas that the study will resume if 65% of the population is vaccinated, or if the epidemiological situation in the country improves safely.

The sources said that teachers are not obliged to take the vaccine, although the authorities ’recommendations included them within the recommended categories of vaccination, indicating that there are health measures to protect students that teachers will follow in order to preserve the safety of everyone.

She explained that the government will take all health measures and requirements to protect students in the event of a return to study, and a tight mechanism will be set up in cooperation between many government agencies.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Education responded to the Ministry of Health’s decision not to hold any paper tests for students at this time.

Al-Qabas sources said that {education} was seeking to conduct paper tests for students, but based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health, {Education} responded to {Health} refusal, and decided to implement the recommendation, and not to conduct any paper or online tests for students, for the first semester of the year. Academic 2020-2021, in confirmation of what Al-Qabas was exclusively published in its issue issued yesterday.

The education decision comes out of concern for the safety, health and future of learners, and not taking any decisions except after conducting the necessary studies that confirm the achievement of the public interest.
