Saudi Man Who Had Been Sentenced To 10 Years Imprisonment Flees From Kuwait

A Saudi man who had been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in a case of forgery is said to have escaped from the country via the Salmi border point with the help of an unidentified employee of the Central Office of Entry and Exit of the Ministry of the Interior, reports Al-Rai daily.

Further investigation revealed that the accused was able to leave the country by using false database with the help of an employee. A security source reported that “the officer who helped the fugitive has been referred to the investigation department to ascertain if he was aware of the false database.

The director of the land ports, Brigadier Iyad Al-Haddad, has also referred to the Public Prosecution the person who established a false database. The source added severe punishment awaits those involved in the process of creating and falsifying the new database, which enabled the accused to escape easily and escape justice.
