Saudi Arabia Today Receives The First Batch Of Pilgrims
Today, the Grand Mosque in Makkah Al-Mukarramah receives the first batch of pilgrims after a hiatus of about nine months due to the emerging Corona virus, as 6 thousand pilgrims are scheduled to perform the rituals per day as a first step, according to certain health controls.
The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated in a statement that the Grand Mosque receives the number of pilgrims after the issuance of the generous approval for the gradual return of life in accordance with the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus Covid 19, as the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah allowed the application of “Umrah” for those wishing to perform Umrah.
Several sites have been prepared, namely: (Ajyad, Al-Shasha, Al-Gaza, and Al-Zahir) for the collection of pilgrims, then transporting them to the Grand Mosque by buses designated for transporting pilgrims accompanied by health facilities.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque completed its preparations and energies to receive the pilgrims and pilgrims of Rahman, applying the highest precautionary measures and measures in cooperation with the competent authorities, as it recruited no less than (1000) employees to follow up the rituals of Umrah in the Grand Mosque.
The General Presidency has taken all measures and precautions taken to ensure the safety and comfort of those visiting the Grand Mosque, and to provide the best and most sophisticated services to the pilgrims, to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership.
It also washed the Grand Mosque (10) times a day before and after the Umrah groups, washed the toilets (6) times a day, sterilized the carpets of the Grand Mosque and sterilized its place before returning it around the clock, sterilized the basins of the Zamzam water fountains, sterilized all vehicles, and changed the bases of keepers and cups Used first-hand with continued sterilization, installation of sterilization devices for escalators, installation of hand sterilization devices at the entrances to the Grand Mosque, sterilization of air-conditioning systems with ultraviolet rays, cleaning of air filters (9) times a day in (3) stages, and perfuming and perfuming the Grand Mosque and its corridors around the clock .
Within a package of precautionary measures projects in the Grand Mosque, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque placed thermal cameras developed in the ancient house, within plans it had developed since the closure of the Grand Mosque, concerning how to deal with pilgrims after the competent authorities allowed them to do so, to ensure their safety, and to preserve the Two Holy Mosques Free from the emerging corona virus.
The thermal cameras work, through advanced and high-resolution monitoring systems, to issue alerts when a high temperature is recorded for any of the Grand Mosque’s visitors and visitors, which allows to deal quickly with cases suspected of being infected with the virus, and to take all preventive and precautionary measures taken towards them.
The Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques presented many initiatives, represented in the “masks” initiative, which comes within several programs developed by the General Presidency in its plan to receive pilgrims. To those who visit the Sacred House of God to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The presidency is also implementing the campaign “Serving our pilgrims is an honor for our employees” in its fifth year, which aims to activate many programs and activities. The campaign this year also took into account the implementation of precautionary measures to combat the emerging Corona virus and prevent its access to the Grand Mosque.
The Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs has allocated the Mataf dish for Tawaf, with the aim of making it easier for the pilgrims to perform their rituals easily and easily and to preserve their safety to perform their rituals to the fulles.
