Saudi Arabia Allows Citizens And Residents To Pray In The Grand Mosque
Today, Sunday, Saudi Arabia announced that citizens and residents inside the kingdom will be allowed to perform prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah for the first time within 7 months, according to Sky News.
This comes with the Saudi authorities beginning to implement the second phase of the gradual return to performing Umrah and visiting, as it began to receive pilgrims from citizens and residents from inside the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
According to the executive plan drawn up by the government agencies, the second phase of the return of Umrah and the visit will witness greater numbers than the first phase, reaching 15,000 pilgrims and 40,000 worshipers per day as a maximum.
Citizens and residents will be allowed to perform Umrah at a rate of 75 percent of the capacity, which takes into account the sanitary precautionary measures of the Grand Mosque.
Each regiment will be allocated only 3 hours to complete the Umrah rituals, and they will also be allowed to pray in the honorable kindergarten and in the Prophet’s Mosque and peace be upon the Prophet at 75 percent of the capacity that takes into account the health precautionary measures for the honorable kindergarten in the Prophet’s Mosque. The latest official statistics issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah revealed that the number of pilgrims in the first phase reached 54,000, and their satisfaction with the services provided reached 94 percent, confirming that no case of infection with the Coronavirus was detected at the entire stage.
