Sab Warned The Education Ministry Against Continuous Wastage Of Public Funds

The State Audit Bureau (SAB) has warned the Education Ministry against continuous wastage of public funds, pointing out thousands of Kuwaiti dinars have been disbursed to employees without justification, reports Al-Qabas daily.

A copy of the SAB report obtained by the daily showed misappropriation of about KD 54,000. The bureau stressed the need to stop granting financial privileges to employees without legal grounds, indicating this has been happening for more than a fiscal year.

The bureau added it is surprising that the ministry has not taken any action while it has yet to respond to some letters and submit documents needed to perform supervisory tasks.
