Sab Approved Ministry Of Communication’s Tender

The State Audit Bureau (SAB) approved recently the Ministry of Communication’s tender for establishment, maintenance and restoration of governmental buildings and other construction works in Hawally, Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Ahmadi governorates, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.

Sources disclosed the approval came after addressing supervisory bodies including SAB to sign a contract with a general trading and contracting company valued at KD 468,000. Sources said the bureau asked the ministry to thoroughly study the tenders stated in the referral letter from the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) to prevent withdrawal of the lowest bidder and shelling out additional funds in the future.

Sources added the bureau is currently looking into the possibility to float a tender on direct contracting for maintenance of the automated system in order to better serve the clients, especially in collecting bill payments.
