Residence Violators Will Be Allowed To Leave Kuwait Without Paying Fines

26 March 2020 Kuwait

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh issued a decree whereby residency violators are exempt from paying fines, provided they leave the country between April 1 and 30.

The decision set a number of conditions for expats who wish to leave the country during the coming month of April. The decision states that foreigners may leave the country and return unless they are prohibited for another reason.  It allows violators who have administrative or judicial obstacles to leaving the country to have their cases reviewed at General Administration of Residence Affairs in accordance with the provisions and legal rules.

The decision stresses that whoever does not leave within the deadline granted for the violators will be subject to the prescribed penalties and will not be authorized to reside in Kuwait and be deported from the country
