Request To Exempt Third Dose Recipients From Mandatory Quarantine

21 December 2021 Kuwait

The head of the Federation of Tourism and Travel Offices, Muhammad Al-Mutairi, has called on the government not to go back to square one regarding imposing travel restrictions for those who received two doses of vaccines approved by Kuwait, pointing to the need to tighten health procedures while keeping the current travel requirements unchanged.

Al-Mutairi told Al-Qabas the meeting of the Ministerial Corona Emergency Committee should come out with recommendations to keep pace with the health situation in the country, which is witnessing a state of stability compared to other countries in the world. He explained the imposition of home quarantine should not include those who have received the “third” booster dose of the approved vaccines.

He indicated returning to square will harm the economy which is just picking up from the ‘ruins of the Covid-19 pandemic’ and the country is walking the path of normalcy, thanks to the efforts of the concerned authorities which have ensured that the rate of vaccination is high in the country compared to other countries of the world
