Renewing Files Of Companies Requires Workers' Insurance Coverage
The Public Authority for Manpower's Occupational Safety Center intends to compile a comprehensive list of enterprises that do not comply with the laws and regulations for providing insurance for labor injuries and accidents, as well as paying compensation to injured workers.
According to informed sources, the authority's center asks businesses to refresh their files and provide statistics every three months, including the permission signature, an insurance policy, and a table of labor accidents and injuries, if any.
The goal of the figures, according to the sources, is to see how devoted companies are to giving actual labor insurance documents that permit seeking and paying compensation to workers as well as providing essential treatment in the event of an injury.
PAM will shortly release the ‘salary certificate' method that employers must submit in order to seek renewal of work permits and other transfer or cancellation procedures, according to the source, after the procedure was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
PAM stated that its Inspection Department will verify salary certificates using an automated system and that if any infringements on material labor rights are detected, the file will be blocked immediately, and legal action will be taken against violators, especially since companies have pledged to grant financial rights and vacations to registered workers.
In another aspect, sources claim that the tripartite committee is continuing to monitor labor market infractions by ramping up anti-worker campaigns.
According to the source, the Tripartite Committee's inspectors, in collaboration with the Resident Affairs Investigations Department, are closely monitoring domestic employees who are breaking labor and residence regulations.
