Remains Of Jeanelyn Villavende Arrives From Kuwait Wednesday, Asks NBI To Conduct Autopsy
Philippine labor chief already met with the family of Villavende, Tuesday at the DOLE office, Manila.
Villavende’s family was accompanied by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Administrator Hans Cacdac, Secretary Bello also showed to the media a copy of the embalment certificate of Villavende from the Kuwaiti authorities.
Based on the autopsy certificate, Villavende’s death was caused by “acute failure of heart and respiration as result by shock and multiple injuries in the vascular and nervous system” But Bello said he has already made a request for the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to also conduct a separate autopsy.
"I also wrote our NBI to conduct an autopsy we will bring the remains of Jeanelyn to the NBI for autopsy to validate if the findings are correct,” he said.
