Regulating Insurance Problems Arising From Vehicle Accidents During Renewing License
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant-General Essam Al-Naham, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Muhammad Al-Otaibi, the head of the Insurance Regulatory Unit, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The Directorate General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry said the memo aims to regulate insurance according to civil liability arising from vehicle accidents when issuing or renewing a motor vehicle license as regulated by Article (6) of Decree-Law (1967/67) concerning traffic, its implementing regulations and amendments, and Law (15/2019) regarding insurance regulation.
The department added the memorandum comes from the keenness of the Ministry of Interior and the Insurance Regulatory Unit to achieve harmony and complement the work mechanisms between the state agencies in order to achieve effective control to ensure the completion of work with ease.
It has been reported Lieutenant-General Al- Naham praised the head and members of the unit for their continuous efforts and joint cooperation with the Ministry of Interior to facilitate the citizens and expatriates.
