Receiving The Third Batch Of Oxford Vaccines This Month

The Ministry of Health confirmed that the third batch of Oxford vaccines will be received from one of the local agents in the State of Kuwait this month, until all analyzes and laboratory tests are completed to ensure their safety, and to ensure the safety of shipping and transportation procedures, in the interest of the health and safety of everyone.

The ministry said in a statement, today, Saturday, that it will initiate sending messages of dates for receiving the second dose within a period of no more than 4 months between the two doses.

he added that the extension of the time period between the two doses for the Oxford vaccine (4 months) took place in many countries, including Canada, Turkey, Spain, France, Denmark, and others.

And she noted that studies have shown that the acquired immunity after the first dose of the Oxford vaccine remains high for a period of up to 4 months, stressing that in order for the immunity to last, it must be supplemented with the second dose.

The Ministry stressed that it will not hesitate to take everything that would ensure the health and safety of everyone, and it appreciates everyone’s understanding of all international developments regarding the manufacture and production of Covid-19 vaccines, and ensuring the continuity of supplies to countries of the world, and the conditions that affect a large number of countries in the world and countries.
