Ramadan School Hours Set By Ministry Of Education

The Ministry of Education has issued a comprehensive decision detailing the Ramadan school hours for all educational institutions in Riyadh, encompassing public, special education, religious, and private Arab schools.

Nur Al-Hamdan, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, disclosed the schedule adjustments, specifying that kindergarten classes will run from 9:40 am to 1:10 pm. Elementary school classes will be held from 9:40 am to 1:40 pm, comprising five sessions of 40 minutes each.

Middle school hours during Ramadan will be from 9:20 am to 1:50 pm, with six 40-minute classes. Similarly, high school hours will be from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, featuring six 40-minute classes.

Al-Hamdan highlighted the issuance of detailed organizational circulars by the General Education Sector to outline curriculum adjustments for each educational level during Ramadan. The ministry will also determine schedules for adult education and literacy centers, while special education schools will align with public school hours.

Moreover, flexible school hour procedures for administrative and teaching staff during Ramadan were disclosed. Al-Hamdan specified working hours for various staff categories, emphasizing adherence to designated school hours and management of leave and absence cases as per applicable laws and procedures.
