Ramadan Crescent Almost Impossible To See This Year

This year, it will be impossible to see the crescent of Ramadan, according to Al-Ajiri Scientific Center.

According to the center, it will not be possible to see the crescent of Ramadan during the Hijri year 1444 due to astronomical calculations, which indicate that the crescent of that holy month cannot be seen. Accordingly, Al-Rai daily reports that the month of Sha'ban will end in 30 days when Thursday, March 23, 2023, marks the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan.

Al-Ujairi calculated that the moon would set 13 minutes before the sun over Kuwait's sky, which would make the sighting process difficult to impossible.

In the blessed month of Ramadan, the crescent will form after sunset, at exactly 8.24 minutes at night; the sun will set on the 29th of Sha'ban over Kuwait at exactly 6 pm, while the moon will set at exactly 5.47 minutes.
