March 23rd Is First Day Of Ramadan

Moonsighting Committee chairman Justice Mohammad bin Naji announced after Tuesday's meeting that the holy fasting month of Ramadan will begin Thursday after tomorrow.

Ramadan of the Hijri, or the Islamic calendar of 1444, begins on Thursday, March 23, he explained. Abdulaziz Al-Majed, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Endowments and Islamic Affairs, received His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait's political leadership, citizens, and residents.
