‘quarantine, Pcr Must For Kuwaitis’
Vaccinated citizens, who come from abroad, are required to quarantine at home upon their return to the country and undergo PCR test three days after their arrival, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a source from the health sector. According to the source, the home quarantine for these citizens will end once the PCR test result shows they are not infected with coronavirus.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and other concerned authorities started implementing the decision to exempt vaccinated citizens and those who recovered from corona from institutional quarantine when they return to the country. Kuwait International Airport recently witnessed the entry of hundreds of citizens from several countries and they completed the entry procedures without being subjected to institutional quarantine. Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) continues to exert tremendous efforts to complete the vaccination of its employees against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), reports Al-Anba daily. The corporation is now in the process of vaccinating workers in the operational and support departments and its subsidiary companies in cooperation with Kuwait Vaccination Center (Ministry of Health), after the initial vaccination for airline and hospitality staff during Ramadan.
Coordination
According to Director of Public Relations and Media at KAC Fayez Al-Enezi, Kuwait Airways, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, is keen on vaccinating all workers in the operational and support departments and subsidiary companies so they can carry out their tasks in a safe, healthy and good environment. This is one the priorities of the corporation’s management to protect the health and guarantee the safety of its employees and valued customers, especially since many Kuwaiti employees are communicating directly with the esteemed customers whether on the airport grounds or KAC offices throughout the country.
Kuwait Airways had earlier coordinated with the Ministry of Health in laying down an action plan that includes sending medical units to the its main building for the vaccination of employees on Thursday. Al-Enezi pointed out “this step is part of KAC’s pioneering role in preventing the spread of coronavirus and to accelerate the vaccination of its employees who face the risk of contracting the virus due to the nature of their work. Thousands are working in the corporation and its subsidiaries. We are keen on vaccinating all of them as this is beneficial and will greatly contribute to reaching community immunity that the health authorities are striving to achieve soon. The corporation spares no effort in helping to protect public health.” He concluded: “For the health and safety of employees, and in implementation of the instructions of the distinguished Cabinet and health authorities in the country; Kuwait Airways regularly sterilizes all its buildings, including employees’ offices, corridors, meeting rooms and other places where the employees are present continuously. This is in addition to providing face masks and sterilizers inside the buildings, and putting special health instruction stickers on the walls and fl oors in order to curb the spread of coronavirus.”
