Commercial Visa To Work Visa Extended

Ahmed Al-Mousa, the Director-General of the Public Authority for Manpower, announced the issuing of an administrative circular extending the deadline for converting business visit visas into work permits until November 24, 2021.

According to Al-Rai, citing Al-Mousa, the aforementioned circular is in addition to Circular No. 20 of 2021, which was released on the Ministerial Committee for Corona Emergencies' directions.

He stated that the present circular permits the conversion of commercial visit visas to employment visas. Article No. 18 applies to those whose commercial visits were authorized before November 24, 2021, through the Public Authority for Automated Manpower referred to in Circular No. 20 of 2021.

According to Al-Mousa, the Employment Affairs Sector, its affiliated departments, and the Department of Information Systems Center have been directed to work on extending the procedures for issuing work permits to applicants who have an entry visa for commercial visits issued before November 24, 2021, so that they can be valid until March 31, 2022.
