Prosecution Pleads For Accused?

04 August 2021 Crime News

For the first time in the history of Kuwait’s judiciary and the courts the Prosecution has pleaded on behalf of an accused and not the other way around, reports Al- Qabas daily. Tuesday, the Court of Cassation witnessed an unprecedented historical event, as the Public Prosecution attended and pleaded in favor of an accused. The Public Prosecution presented a marathon plea with majestic, chilling words, during which it touched on the era of the brutal Iraqi invasion of the State of Kuwait, after defending the accused, Faisal Al Randi, in a lawsuit filed by one of the relatives of Musafer Abdul Karim accusing him of insulting him on social media. The court then set Aug 21, 2021, to issue a verdict.
