Precious Tagged Metals Estimated At Over Kd 145000 In July
The total weight of precious tagged metals during July was about 2.9 tons, which received fees estimated at KD 145.8 thousand ($476 thousand), the Kuwaiti Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on Monday.
In a press statement, the ministry said that the weight of domestic and foreign gold tag amounted to about 2.8 tons received fees estimated at KD 125.3 thousand ($410 thousand). It noted that the amount of local gold-tagged 22 carats amounted to 270 kg while the amount of external gold amounted to 725 kg.
The amount of local gold-tagged 21 carats amounted to 57 tons and 57 kg while the amount of external gold amounted to about 452.5 kg, it added. It also pointed out that the amount of local gold-tagged 18 carats amounted to about 25 kilograms, while the amount of external gold amounted to 263.6 kilograms, noting that the amount of gold bars tagged amounted to 35.6 kilograms received fees estimated at KD 1,781 ($5,851).
The Ministry said that the amount of silver tagged during the month of July amounted to 53.8 kilograms collected fees about KD 868 ($2,850). The precious metals department in the ministry issued 155 disclosures on the goods for clearance and conformity with the customs declaration as well as 211 certificates for alloys, brands and metals exempt from the seal and received fees estimated at KD 1,464 ($4,800), it added.
