Pm Directs Coordination With Other Countries Over Regional Happenings
His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Sunday instructed coordination with sisterly and friendly countries over the recent regional developments, inviting military and security chiefs to a Cabinet meeting Monday.
This came in a press statement given by Head of the Center for Government Communication (CGC) and Government Spokesman Tareq Al-Mezrem following a mini- Cabinet meeting in the context of governmental response to the latest situation in the region.
During the meeting, the ministers addressed the aftershocks of the recent regional happenings and weighed the current situation, the spokesman said, noting that Sunday’s meeting is part of official meetings held over the last couple of days.
Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh, Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah and Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah and senior security officials attended the meeting.
The General Staff of Kuwait’s Army has categorically denied reports about the usage of the country’s military bases to carry out attacks against certain targets in a neighboring country. In a press statement on Sunday, the General Staff described the circulated reports as untrue and affirmed that the Kuwaiti military bases were not used in such operations. It urged publishers of such fabricated reports to pursue credibility and accuracy and stop publishing or circulating such reports.
