The Supreme Committee for the Re-operation of Commercial Trips has adopted the Ministry of Health’s protocol on health controls and requirements to leave citizens and residents and come to Kuwait International Airport, which will be implemented starting from August 1.

Required controls for arrivals:

Required controls for departures:

Here are the full details, the Supreme Committee for the Restart of Commercial Trips at Kuwait International Airport yesterday adopted the health procedures and requirements that must be followed to gradually restart the flights in accordance with the criteria and controls necessary to face the Corona epidemic.

An official source told that the committee, during its meeting chaired by the head of the General Administration of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud, approved yesterday the health controls for departures and arrivals via Kuwait Airport, including obtaining a certified health certificate (PCR) proving that the traveler is free from infection with the Corona virus, with a random PCR examination rate of% 10 for passengers arriving on each flight, and passengers sign a pledge to abide by the institutional or domestic quarantine health instructions. Regarding the travel requirements for departures, the source indicated that the equipment operating at the airport in connection with the establishment of a specialized laboratory center under the management of the Ministry of Health is responsible for granting departures from Kuwait Airport a certified health certificate PCR if required as per the requirements of each country receiving Kuwaiti nationals.

The source revealed that granting this certificate will be financially charged to both citizens and residents, so that the costs of financial fees will be borne by the examination certificate either according to the travel ticket granted to the passenger by the airline or borne by the traveler himself. The source stressed that the air transport rights will be restricted to airlines in order to prevent competition between flights.

5 – Distributing employees in each department to work teams with the stability of employees in one team and not recycling them.

6 – Vacations are within one team in limited proportions.

7 – Providing suitable housing for workers that allows for physical separation and self-isolation in the event of symptoms of the disease.

Actions on the plane

1 – Removing paper copies of newspapers and magazines.

2- Temporarily suspending the service of selling duty-free products on board.

3 – Determine the seats in advance, taking care to separate the passengers and allow the same family or group to sit together.

4 – Not allowing walking between passengers and contact.

5 – Reducing the use of bathrooms and preventing gathering in front of them.

6 – Preventing or reducing food and drinking services on board short trips or providing meals in pre-enclosed packages for long trips.

7 – Urging travelers not to bring hand luggage on board.

8- Allocate a remote area for passengers to isolate any suspected cases on board.

The passenger terminal

1- Putting thermal check points at the airport entrances.

2 – The examination is carried out with thermal cameras, and the traveler is not allowed to enter if the temperature exceeds 37.5 degrees Celsius.

3 – Entrance to the airport is limited to travelers and employees, and those wishing to book tickets. Volume 0%
