The Court of Appeals, Personal Status Circuit, has obliged a citizen, married to four wives, to provide his third wife and their children, a monthly alimony of KD 330, and to cater to the needs of the family of hiring a domestic worker, KD 4,000 for her vehicle and give her the custody of children. The lawyer for the plaintiff was attorney Faisal Muhammad Al- Otaibi, who argued his client was married to the defendant and had two children. As per the testimony of two witnesses, the defendant had stopped providing family sustenance for more than a year, although he travels a lot and tours many countries. The court also obliged the defendant to pay the salary of the domestic worker and the driver. Earlier the lower court verdict had ruled the sustenance paid by the man to his wife and children was low.
