Patient’s Relative Gets Violent – Moh Defends Icu Medical Staff

The Ministry of Health conveyed sincere condolences to the family of a female citizen who died in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Jaber Hospital, reports Al-Jarida daily. In a press statement, the ministry expressed deep sorrow over the abuse that the national medical staff suffered at the hands of one of the relatives as shown in a video clip which went viral recently. The ministry stressed that the medical staff and ICU doctors at Jaber Hospital and other hospitals are dedicated and they work hard in dealing with the corona epidemic; affirming they remain a strong fortress in protecting the health of everyone. They perform their tasks in an efficient and professional manner in accordance with the established and approved treatment protocols, the ministry added. The ministry went on to say that it will not hesitate in taking legal measures against anyone who mistreats its staff, while emphasizing that everyone has the right to take legal action in case of negligence by the staff.
