Patients Are Advised To Drink Plenty Of Fluids
According to the Al-Qabas newspaper, which cites health sector sources, the number of children admitted to pediatric emergency departments in public hospitals is still within the average range at this time of year. According to sources, the number of youngsters admitted to hospitals throughout Ramadan and the Eid holiday rises owing to changes in meteorological conditions, notably the gradual rise in temperatures, as well as a shift in food consumption after Ramadan.
The majority of children admitted to hospitals in April and early May each year had stomach flu, influenza, high temperatures, bodily ache, skin rashes, vomiting, abdominal pain, respiratory infections, colds, migraines, and sinusitis, according to sources. Pediatric patients are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids, according to sources.
According to sources, there have been no cases of hepatitis so far, and the Ministry of Health is continuing to increase epidemiological investigation efforts in accordance with WHO standards. During the Eid Al-Fitr vacation, health experts specializing in infectious diseases, critical care, digestive illnesses, paediatrics, and others held online sessions to outline methods for dealing with any occurrence of hepatitis, according to sources.
