Parliamentary Pressure To Deport Residence Violators

24 April 2020 Coronavirus

The deputies called on the government to reconsider dealing with the quarantine that house the violators of residency, in terms of the costs and expenses of the quarantine, such as accommodation, subsistence, medical care and other services, especially that the countries of these communities refuse to cooperate and do not receive their citizens.

The deputies told Al-Rai that the matter needs a bold and decisive decision from the government because the cadres working in the first row to face the new Corona virus are exposed to great pressures in light of the increase in the number of people infected with the disease, and the government must play its role by addressing these countries again to receive its citizens. And if you refuse, there are many other methods that can be used.

MP Saleh Ashour called for a new methodology to deal with nationals of countries that refused to receive their citizens, whether they have a valid residence or violators of residence, explaining that it is surprising that countries refuse to evacuate their nationals even though they are in breach of the law.
Ashour told Al-Rai that the quarries that were put in place for some communities that violate the law put great pressure

on the medical and security cadres, especially since the numbers are large, calling for the communities to bear the consequences of their countries ’decisions, demanding that“ the number of nursing and medical staff assigned to work in these quarries be reduced. ” And that security guard companies take responsibility for maintaining security in these quarries, as we desperately need security cadres. ”

He called for a review of dealing with the quarries that house the violators of residency, stressing that “we need a bold and decisive decision from the government because the cadres working in the first row to face (Corona) are exposed to great pressure in light of the increase in the number of people infected with the disease.”
For its part,

MP Safaa Al-Hashem was surprised by the refusal of some countries to receive their nationals even though they violated the residence law, stressing that they have become a health and security burden on Kuwait. She told «Al-Rai’ that «there are countries in Kuwait that have large communities that do not evacuate their citizens and do not send planes to them, and at the same time refuse to prepare aircraft to relocate them, nothing affects the humanitarian status of Kuwait, because it provided treatment, infrastructure and services and did not impose fees on that, But now we are in an epidemic and a tsunami is sweeping the area. ”

Al-Hashim stressed that, “Those who monitor the numbers of people with coronary disease see that they are increasing, and the vast majority of expatriates, explaining that there is awareness among Kuwaitis regarding the home ban and commitment to health instructions, but there is a security and health burden that their countries refused to receive.” In turn, by addressing these countries again to receive their citizens, and if we refuse to have many other means, we can resort to them.
“The Kuwaiti foreign ministry should ask the Egyptian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Filipino embassies to communicate with their large communities, to provide assistance to them instead of watching what is happening and pressuring their countries to evacuate the violators and those who wish to leave and enough ideal diplomacy with them,” said Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Kandari
