"parliamentary" Dissatisfaction With The Government's Actions: Owners Of Small And Medium Enterprises Have Been Affected
A number of National Assembly representatives interacted with the decisions taken by the Council of Ministers, yesterday, Wednesday, regarding commercial activities, restaurants and salons, and warned the government against the consequences of these decisions and their risks on groups of citizens, especially the owners of small and medium enterprises, and sent a message to the government stating that You see the damage done to entrepreneurs by decisions.
Al-Sayer: Reconsideration ... or accounting
MP Muhannad Al-Sayer warned the Cabinet of what he called "tampering with the future of the owners of small and medium enterprises," adding, "Our accountability will not show mercy to anyone." He continued: "If you do not reconsider your decisions or compensate every owner of a damaged project, accountability will not have mercy on anyone." Al-Sayer added, "I am sure that the government does not know the size of the losses that the citizens in the private sector suffer, including owners of medium and small projects."
Sleazy Mudhaf: They must be compensated
In the same context, MP Muhalhal Al-Mudhaf said, "We do not accept random decisions that would harm small and medium enterprises." Adding, "Hitting the Kuwaiti worker and the employer is unacceptable, and the state must compensate them fairly, and it must understand that young people are a priority and that it is not permissible to harm them or their work and bear all the consequences and accountability in all its ways."
Osama Al-Munawer: Improvised Decisions
In addition, Deputy Osama al-Munawer stated that the government surprised everyone with improvised and ill-considered decisions, and did not consider the consequences of matters, or even take into account the situation of the simple Kuwaiti merchant. Al-Munawer added: "Today, hundreds of arrivals continue to be received through the airport in light of the existence of this pandemic, and the main treatment is first by closing the airport and then with the support of the small investor, and they submitted a law for the economic package, and the Gulf countries reached today the fifth package, and Kuwait did not present any package." He continued: “The role of the government today is on the government. People are groaning from a very bad economic situation, and today these facilities are closed. Neither the landlord has mercy on them nor the financier awaits them, and the workers are demanding their salaries. There are homes demolished in Kuwait, and we are awaiting urgent measures from the Prime Minister.
Al-Qattan: We will not accept the imprisonment of our brothers
For his part, Deputy Ali Al-Qattan said: “After the cabinet’s decision yesterday, a group of those affected by small and medium enterprises contacted me, and I assure that I will follow the law that I submitted, and we will not accept the imprisonment of our brothers.” He added, "As for the decision to close, the government must realize that controlling the airport and the movement of people coming from the affected countries is more important than closing projects.
