Parliament Approves Gov’t Department’s Budgets

Kuwait National Assembly approved, in a special session Tuesday, budgets of ministries and government departments for the fiscal year 2021-22, and referred the bill to the government. The budgets were approved by 32 MPs opposed by one, while 30 lawmakers did not vote at all.

The house also approved budgets of independent authorities for fiscal year 2021-22 in a 32-1 vote. Thirty MPs did not take part in the vote.
