‘pam Suspends Some Officers For 6 Months’
The Recruitment Organizing and Domestic Workers Department at the Public Authority for Manpower has suspended some officers for six months, reports Al-Jaridah daily.
According to sources the PAM inspectors were found violating terms and conditions in the contracts in contravention of Paragraph (e) of Article 24 of the Law (68/2015) regarding domestic workers.
Meanwhile, the Al-Anba daily quoting an informed source at the PAM said the authority has collected 12,850 dinars from the domestic workers recruitment offices for the benefit of 2,634 citizens during April, reports. PAM said in a statement the Recruitment Organizing and Domestic Workers Department at the authority works to protect the rights of employers and workers and work to give everyone his/her right.
The PAM source indicated the competent department has referred 162 cases to the judiciary, and received 95 labor complaints from domestic workers and 19 complaints from employers against the domestic labor recruitment agencies.
Meanwhile, the efforts of the General Traffic Department during the second day of Eid resulted in the imprisonment of many traffic law violators and the seizure of their vehicles, in addition to the arrest of people wanted by law and those who had been sentenced in absentia, reports Al-Anba daily.
Traffic patrols are said to have arrested 21 people, 58 vehicles have been impounded and issued 1,939 citations – 232 for speeding, 112 for making disturbing noises and 198 for trucks for violating traffic laws.
