Pam Board Of Directors To Meet To Discuss Cancellation Of Decision Issued By Al-mousa

While the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) did not issue any new instructions regarding work permits for expatriates over 60 years of age who hold high school certificates and below, informed sources revealed to Al-Rai that the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of the PAM Board of Directors, Dr. Abdullah Al-Salman will call this week a meeting of Board of Directors.

The main item on the agenda, according to sources, is to discuss canceling the decision of the Director-General, Ahmed Al-Mousa, which prohibits the renewal of work permits for this category of expatriates.

Al-Salman’s move in this direction comes after the Fatwa and Legislation Department of the Council of Ministers, has concluded that the decision (No. 520 of 2020), which was issued in August 2020 and implemented as January 1, 2021, is illegal.
