Pam Adheres To Working In Sun Rules

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) continues to exert efforts in ensuring strict compliance with the executive regulations of Labor Law number 6/2010, such that employers operate in accordance with the law and the National Agreement on Safety of Workers.

Official spokesperson and Public Relations Director at PAM Aseel Al-Mezyad disclosed the inspection team from the Labor Protection Department started working on June 1, 2018 and they will continue until Aug 31, 2018.

She explained the team closely monitors open workplaces to ascertain that employers abide by Administrative Decision number 535/2015 which prohibits working in open spaces from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm during summer (June 1 to Aug 31).

Mezyad said the inspection has resulted in the issuance of 73 warnings, adding the authority received five notices of violations through its hotline and social media channels.
