Paci Completes Expatriates Transactions Within Five Minutes
The limit of pre-booking dates has been raised to 700 clients per day, as the transaction is completed within five minutes from the moment the client receives his number to enter the hall, thanks to the efforts of the workers and the cooperation of the clients.
A client can now get an appointment on the same day. In the past, it took two weeks for appointments, but now he gets to even choose the hour when he wants to visit, as the work in the evening period is from 3 pm to 5:30 pm.
He affirmed that PACI is constantly working on launching its online services for the convenience of public, the most important of which is the “Kuwait Finder” application and the “Hawiyyati” application. Through the application, citizens and residents can complete all his transactions. They can even travel without carrying their actual civil cards.
He called on clients to benefit from these online services to complete their transactions without the need to visit the PACI headquarters.
Al-Harbi explained that PACI will soon open a service center in the Kuwait Bar Association, upon its request, to complete the transactions of its clients in the coming days. These service centers complete the transactions of citizens and those holding Article 20 residency, and the service centers in the immigration departments serve expatriates.
During the morning period, the electronic signature department receives the transactions of citizens and expatriates who wish to approve his electronic signature, provided that he personally visits the department, and his card is valid for more than nine months. The department receives an average of 120 clients per day.
Only five minutes is needed to complete each transaction of expatriates at the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) during the evening shift, as there is no crowding during this period, reports Al-Rai daily quoting Director of the External Centers Department at PACI Mansour Al-Harbi.
During an interview with the daily at the expats hall in PACI during the evening working hours, he explained that 300,000 clients were received during the past year in 30 external centers affiliated to PACI. These centers include 150 employees, and the transactions varied from renewing, issuing, and canceling of civil ID cards, changing of address, changing or adding pictures, adding a newborn or changing the date of birth.
Based on directives of the Director General of PACI Musaed Al-Asousi, and in view of the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic and the crowding, work has been distributed so that citizens, Gulf citizens and Bedoun residents are received in the morning period, and the evening period is allocated to expatriates because most of them are at work during the morning hours.
Al-Harbi revealed that there is a plan to be implemented in the current year to open ten new centers in order to reduce crowding, so that these centers will be close to the places of residence of people.
He explained that the tasks of the service centers include completing the issuance or renewal of the Kuwaiti card, changing photograph, and adding a photograph for children who have reached the age of five, provided the guardian visits to sign the approved image, as well as adding citizenship for those who have reached 18 years old, replacing lost card, and registering a service for the first time, and to carry out transactions of article 20 holders.
Also, these centers will be tasked with registering a newborn and the issuance of a “To whom it may concern” certificate for individuals, in addition to the attestation of marriage and divorce certificates (only in Sabhan and Yarmouk centers) as well as the issuance of company certificates with a civil number in the Single Window Office in Ishbiliya area.
