Paaet Win League Title In 8th Gcc College Games
Public Authority of Applied Education and Training (PAAET) won the league title in the eighth edition of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Universities and Higher Education Institutions Games hosted by the State of Kuwait, which concluded on Wednesday, with a total of 25 medals – 9 gold, 12 silver and 4 bronze. PAAET won the titles in volleyball, futsal, athletics and swimming.
According to a press release, the ten-day event was organized under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. Around 730 athletes and administrators representing 16 educational institutions participated in the event, competing in games such as football, volleyball, athletics, swimming, tennis, table tennis, cross-country running, and futsal.
The second place went to King Abdulaziz University, followed by Jeddah University in third place, Sultan Qabous University in fourth, Imam Mohammad bin Saud University in fifth, Qatar University in sixth, Emirates University in seventh, Kuwait University in eighth, Jouf University in ninth and Hail University in tenth position.
In a press release, the Dean of Student Affairs and Head of the Organizing Committee Dr Hussain Al-Mukaimi expressed appreciation and gratitude to those who contributed to the success of the 8th GCC College Games in all aspects, and for achieving the top objective of the event, which His Highness the Amir of Kuwait and His Highness the Crown Prince call for, in terms of the importance of brothers meeting and exchanging expertise and experiences in various fields, which in this case is sports.
