Over 10,000 Garbage Containers To Be Distributed In Farwaniya
More than 10,000 garbage containers will be distributed for use by the Farwaniya Municipality branch within the governorate as part of the field campaign carried out by the general cleanliness and road works, as well as following up the Municipality’s services in the governorate which resulted issuing 388 various violations in just one week, reports Al-Rai daily.
Acting Director of Public Cleaning and Road Works Department and Director of Follow-up at the Municipality Service Department in the governorate Saad Al-Khurainej told the daily the Department has set a timetable to distribute the containers in order to cover all districts within two months according to the cleaning contracts with the new companies, including Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Al- Hassawi.
He added old (cleaning contracting) companies are obliged to leave their containers in place for two months and then withdraw them. He indicated that the cleaning centers in the branch are ready to provide the containers to cover the shortage or in case of loss of containers.
He disclosed the plastic containers are manufactured according to certain standards for use, and not for personal use. In a related context, Al-Khurainej pointed out that all centers of the province continue to intensify its campaigns to improve the level of cleanliness, especially as the Municipality pays great attention to hygiene in all areas of Kuwait.
He pointed out that the inspectors deal with all the complaints immediately – complaints received on the municipality’s official accounts on social networking sites or hotline 139.
Meanwhile, Al-Khurainej revealed 238 citations were issued in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Al-Hassawi areas – 82 for lack of public cleanliness and 69 against road works, 71 against street vendors, and 16 violations related to violation of Law 9/1987.
