Openings Allowed In Step To Normalcy
The Ministerial Committee for the Implementation of Health Requirements has taken five new decisions in the framework of Kuwait gradually returning to normalcy, reports Al- Rai daily. Director-General of the Kuwait Municipality, Engr Ahmad Al-Manfouhi told the daily the committee has decided to allow restaurants and shops and some others to operate as they did before the outbreak of the corona pandemic which means the restaurants will be allowed to remain open 24/7, reopen massage parlors and prayer rooms in malls and complexes. However, the shops in the private housing areas are obliged to close at 12:00 midnight.
Al-Manfouhi asserted hookah is still not allowed to be served in cafés for customers. He also pointed out the issue of return of sports academies has not been discussed. Meanwhile, the government is preparing a draft law that calls for imposing penalties and taking punitive measures against those who do not comply with the health requirements, especially those who do not wear face masks.
