Only 5 Centers Will Administer The Corona Vaccine After Eid

The Ministry of Health is considering reverting to the current system of 19 medical centers spread across the country for anti-Corona vaccinations, after the Eid al-Fitr holiday. That is, provided that the Mishref Vaccination Center continues to treat those who seek vaccination.

A local Arabic newspaper quoted sources as saying this trend coincides with the recent easing of restrictions related to Corona virus due to improvements in the general epidemiological conditions in the country, along with daily declines in the rate of infections.

Sources at the same centers reported that citizens and residents at these centers would be receiving Moderna doses, a type of vaccine characterized by its ability to protect against the virus by 92%, as well as its ability to repel mutant viruses such as Delta and Omicron, starting 14 days after receiving the first dose.

Sources noted that the ministry is doing its best to create specialized clinics for the elderly that are affiliated with the Primary Health Care Administration. From each health center, there will be about 100 elder clinics, indicating they provide all health care, psychological, rehabilitation, and social care, and follow their patients especially when they have complications due to Corona infection or other diseases during the pandemic.

According to the sources, the Ministry wishes to train doctors and nurses to detect, diagnose and treat the most common diseases among the elderly as early as possible.
