Only 5 % Of The Nursing Sector Employees Are Citizens

Minister of Health, Sheikh Basil Al-Sabah, confirmed 1,086 employees in the nursing sector are Kuwaitis, while 20,846 employees are expats and 530 are Biduns. This implies that only 5% of employees of the nursing sectors are Kuwaitis, Al Qabas daily reported.

In response to a parliamentary question by Representative Ahmed Mutia, he said  2,490 nursing sector employees have resigned from 2017 until now.

He explained that the Civil Service Bureau was addressed to include masters and doctorates in the national program to upgrade the level of the nursing staff, as part of the delegation plan for the years 2019 and 2020 for scholarships and study leave approved by the Bureau.
