It is expected that 123 foreign British, American, French, Pakistani, Indian, and Filipino schools will begin their first day of school on September 11, 2022/2023, as the new school year 2022/2023 begins in government schools. After a hiatus of more than two years caused by the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, 165,000 students are expected to resume face-to-face study on Sunday, September 4.

A local Arabic newspaper reports that four new foreign schools will open at the beginning of the new academic year after being granted new licenses.

There are 186 private schools approved by the General Administration of Private Education, including 63 Arabs and 123 non-Arabs, in various educational systems. In contrast to foreign schools, there are relatively few Arab schools, which has led to higher student densities.

Most private foreign schools are adequately prepared to receive students, according to the sources.
