24 July 2018 Crime News

An expatriate, who works at the Ministry of Higher Education, admitted during interrogation that he forged academic certificates with the knowledge of three officials in the ministry, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting a security source.

The source disclosed the Public Prosecution then instructed the Forgery, Falsification and Counterfeiting Department at the Criminal Investigation General Department in the Interior Ministry to summon the three officials for questioning. Investigators will soon access the database to verify the expatriate employee’s allegation.

In a related development, knowledgeable sources told the daily that Kuwait’s cultural offices in all Arab countries have tightened grip on a representative handling the registration of students in Arab universities.

This came after the discovery of irregularities in unlicensed offices that register students in exchange for big amounts with the promise of opening files in cultural offices on the students’ behalf. Cultural Attaché in Jordan Badr Al-Adaila affirmed that the Cultural Office there is closely monitoring the representative who registered the students to take legal action against him if proven guilty
