Official In Moe Caught For Accepting Bribe

An official in the Ministry of Electricity (MoE) was arrested on charges of receiving bribes for expediting the completion of the person’s transactions, Al Qabas reported. He was transferred to the investigation office, where his confessions was recorded and referred him to the Public Prosecution.

Sources told Al-Qabas that confidential information was received by the Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs about the official requesting bribes in exchange for completing the transactions. The investigation officers were instructed to monitor him, and his activities for a whole week, to gather evidence of his criminal activity before he was caught red-handed in the act.
