Officer Working At The Correctional Institutions Department Was Suspended

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister retired Lieutenant-General Sheikh Khalid Al- Jarrah Al-Sabah has ordered the suspension of an officer working at the Correctional Institutions Department (Central Prison), pending completion of investigation, reports Al-Rai daily. A knowledgeable security source said the officer in the rank of captain, and identified only as Mohammed, has been suspended for violating the Interior Ministry laws and regulations and committing serious violations inside the facility. However, a reliable source said, what the officer has done has nothing to do with what a former lawmaker claimed about abuses inside the prison.
