Officer Accused Of Abusing Authority

The head of the Workers’ Union Fahd Al-Osaimi has appealed to the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Lt-Gen Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah, to intervene to protect the Joint Commission inspectors from the tampering with a report of a police officer who owns a famous restaurant, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Osaimi expressed his surprise at the intervention of a police officer in the office of Major General Khaled Al- Dayeen to release the violators who were arrested by the inspectors of the Joint Commission, who have the status of judicial seizure.

Al-Osaimi told Al-Rai that “the Union has assigned a lawyer to follow up the case before the legal authorities, after the officer and the employees in his restaurant assaulted the inspectors and tried to prevent them from recording a case.”
