Number Of Stray Dogs And Stray Animals Has Increased In Areas Of Desert

With the increase in population and the construction of new cities on the periphery, and near land, the number of stray dogs and stray animals has increased, particularly in areas which have the aspect of a desert, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Despite the efforts of the competent authorities in the State, many consider it to be not as much of a problem.

However, the officials say the citizens and residents must take part in combating stray animals and limiting their spread.

The officials pointed to the behavior of some people in feeding this stray animals with left overs such as cats and dogs and this, the officials said, has contributed to the increase in numbers.
