Number Of Kuwaitis Increase In Government Sector
According to the latest statistics issued by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), there is an increase of 3.7 percent in the rate of national manpower in the government sector as of October this year when compared to the rate during the same period last year.
The total number of Kuwaiti employees in the government sector has reached 361,209 as of the beginning of October, compared to 352,753 employees during the same period last year.
The national manpower in the government sector constitutes 77.5 percent of the total number of employees in the sector, reaching 279,785 citizens, while there were 269,799 Kuwaiti employees in the sector during the same period last year.
The number of Arab employees from various non-GCC countries is 76,771, thereby registering a reduction of 2.2 percent from 78,486 employees last year. On the other hand, the number of GCC nationals has increased by 6.1 percent from 4,468 last year to 4,762 this year.
The number of Saudi nationals working in the government sector of Kuwait has increased from 4,012 last year to 4,176 this year, followed by Qataris who increased from 228 last year to 248 this year, Omanis increased from 107 to 212 employees; Bahrainis from 105 to 111, and then Emiratis who increased by one employee to reach 16 employees.
