Not Sure Sunday Will Be Holiday
The government has not yet taken a decision about declaring Sunday, November 25 as a holiday, as it will depend on the timing and volume of the expected rain, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed governmental sources.
They said, “We can neither deny nor confirm if Sunday will be a holiday or not, but we will definitely prioritize the lives and interests of citizens and residents”. According to a report published in Al-Rai daily, weather expert Essa Ramadan indicated that heavy rains can be expected in the country on Friday.
In a TV interview, he said weather conditions are not easy to predict as the forecasts are not always precise, but warnings need to be issued about the possibility of dire weather conditions. Ramadan explained, “There will be heavy clouds on Thursday followed by the start of rain, which will increase in volume on Friday and could affect the roads.
However, it will reduce during the day time on Saturday and then increase again at night which will continue until Sunday noon”. Some educational zones have sent a circular to their schools, requesting them to cancel all concerts and musical programs for the students of primary and intermediate levels due to the bad weather expected in the country in the coming days, reports Al-Qabas daily.
