‘nod Needed To Reopen Nurseries’

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mustafa Reda addressed the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs Abdulaziz Shuaib regarding the reopening of private nurseries and schools for people with special needs, reports Al-Qabas daily. In the letter, Dr. Reda explained that the resumption of nurseries is the prerogative of the Cabinet’s COVID-19 Emergency Committee.

In case the approval for the opening of activities is received, health requirements must be adhered to. He highlighted the set requirements for the resumption of activities for students with special needs, starting with following the school guidelines, obtaining the parents’ pledge to report any COVID-19 infections within the family and among relatives without bringing the child, and the need for the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs and owners of nurseries to develop and provide a monitoring mechanism to ensure compliance with health requirements. Dr. Reda stressed that parents and nursery workers should get vaccinations or get nasopharyngeal swab tests every two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Kuwait Ports Authority has announced its public bidding No. M.K. 1-2021/2022 for the license of a cafeteria on the first fl oor of the port complex building for a period of three years through the Single Window Project (Ports Gate), reports Al-Anba daily. In its statement, the authority explained that this is one of its initiatives to support companies registered under Chapter 5 and classified within small and medium enterprises. It is in line with the state’s directives to support and stimulate the youth sector and is based on the authority’s keenness to be one of the incubators for emerging enterprises and to empower national youth cadres to utilize investment opportunities. The authority called on the companies specialized in these specializations to submit their bids in accordance with the terms, technical specifications, the provisions indicated in the bidding documents, and the information announced in the official gazette.
