‘no To Building Violations, Bachelors In Model Areas’
The Governor of the Capital, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, chaired the eighth coordination meeting to discuss the problems of the governorate, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief of the Directorate- General of Fire Department for Prevention Sector, Major-General Khaled Al-Abdullah, and the Deputy Director-General for the Development and Licensing Sector at the Public Authority for Industry (PAI) Shamlan Al-Juhaidli, and a number of directors of departments in the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR), Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and PAI.
Al-Khaled began the meeting by offering condolences on the death of the martyr of duty, Abdul Aziz Al-Rashidi, who died in a deplorable murder. He then praised the efforts exerted by the concerned authorities to reduce the number of violations in some areas before eliminating them altogether such as building violations and housing of bachelors in model areas and called for redoubling the efforts in all government agencies. He said the Capital Governorate, in cooperation with the Kuwait Municipality has been able to eliminate many violations and abuses and is also striving at a steady pace to complete the stage of construction, modernization and development within the scope of the governorate and the rehabilitation of some old markets such as the Al-Saffarin Market.
He pointed out that the participation of the private sector in sustainable development and the desired development in the Capital Governorate is an additional motive that is what is sought by the governorate. He pointed out a number of companies have expressed their desire to develop and beautify the governorate, in addition to consultations being held with a number of stakeholders such as the EPA and PAAAFR to double the number of green areas.
