No Respite For 3 Monsters – Max Penalty Sought For Rapists
Lawyer Wasmiya Al-Hamad has announced that she has taken the case of a juvenile who was sexually abused by “three monsters” pro bono. She affirmed that such a heinous act does not please either God or any of His creatures, vowing to demand maximum punishment against the “three monsters” until they get their fair share of punishment after committing the ugly act during the holy month of Ramadan. She said they kidnapped the young boy and took him to a deserted place where they raped him in turns even though he begged them to stop. Lawyer Al-Hamad urged the boy’s family not to withdraw the case so that criminals who do not respect the sanctity of this holy month and a child’s innocence will be punished.
Divorce case rejected: The Family Court rejected the fault-based divorce lawsuit filed by a female citizen against her husband, alleging that he assaulted her physically and verbally. According to the case files, the female citizen demanded the court to grant irrevocable divorce and enable her to maintain her legal rights. Representing the husband was Attorney Abdul-Aziz Al-Rukheimi who argued that the prosecution failed to provide any evidence to substantiate the allegations made by the wife. He also pointed out that the wife was given ample time to present evidence to back her claims. The court dismissed the lawsuit due to lack of evidence.
