The Directorate General of Civil Aviation stated that some departing flights which were canceled today due to thick fog engulfed over Kuwait skies, which led to implementation of exit and entry from immigration for the number of passengers the system entered automatically on Shlonak App after their entry. Those passengers will not require to quarantine as the Ministry of Health’s Sholonak App handlers has been requested to cancel quarantine for these passengers.

Earlier Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said Thursday that incoming flights have been diverted to nearby airports due to fog and low visibility. In a press statement, the directorate said the take-off and landing of aircraft will resume once weather conditions improve in the country. Kuwait forecasters warned Wednesday that the country was experiencing low horizontal visibility owing to fog.

DGCA’s Yousef Al-Fawzan, announced that due to fog and low visibility below the permissible limit, 6 flights were diverted to nearby airports, reports Al-Qabas daily. Al-Fawzan said that the low visibility led to the inability to land and take off by some flights to and from Kuwait International Airport, saying that the take-off and landing of aircraft will resume if visibility improves at any time possible.
