No Plan To Stop Home Delivery Service, Clarifies Ministry

The Interior Ministry’s General Traffic Department has no plans to stop issuing licenses to service delivery workers, Al Rai daily reported quoting Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Abdullah Al-Muhanna.

The senior official refuted recent reports which suggested that the ministry stopped issuing home delivery licenses as a ministerial decree is being prepared to regulate this activity.

According to the original report, the Interior Ministry had stated that delivering consumer items require a large number of vehicles driving on roads, and also results in the accumulation of the licenses application for such service at the traffic department.
