No Heavy Rain Expected Today

10 November 2015 Kuwait

Meteorological expert Essa Ramadan refuted social media stories that heavy rain and floods would hit Kuwait in the coming days, and mentioned that the rumors were unfounded. He forecast that today’s weather would be cloudy to partly cloudy with light to moderate south easterly changing to north westerly winds, with speed of 15 – 40 km/h, and with a probability for scattered rain.

Mr. Ramadan said there was no possibility of  floods like the ones that effected Jordan as the terrain was different and Kuwait’s infrastructure was more dependable. Furthermore, Mr.  Ramadan mentioned that winter had not yet arrived in Kuwait and expected temperatures to rise again to 30 degrees next week, stating winter would most likely start by December.
